Jaimini Astrology, founded by Sage Jaimini, explains life through Karakas, Karakamsha, unique aspects, and rashi-based dashas. This system requires deep interpretation and spiritual insight. When combined with the Parashar method, it enables more precise and meaningful astrological predictions.
Sage Jaimini laid the foundation of Jaimini Astrology. He gave the knowledge in short verses in the treatise called Jaimini Sutram. These are small shlokas/verses which are written in a peculiar manner. It is said that to understand these Sutras correctly and to the core, special training and blessings of the Guru/ Mentor must be acquired. This technique of prediction is different from Parashar system of astrology. To partake the lessons in Jaimini a level of spiritual insight is required to perceive and interpret the shlokas correctly.

They are identified by the degrees of the planets from highest to lowest.
Rahu and Ketu
While all other planets are used in the Karakas of Jaimini, Rahu and Ketu are not considered in the Karakas and hence their degrees are also not considered. They are exempted from the Karakamsha as well.
