Lalchand Kishenchand Advani known as Lal Krishna Advani
Advani ji born on November 8, 1927 in Karachi . He did his schooling at St. Patrick's, Karachi . He joined the D.G. National College in Hyderabad , Sindh for his education. He later graduated in Law from Bombay University . In 1942, he was an RSS organiser of Karachi city. When Jana Sangh was founded by Dr. Mukherjee in 1951, he became its Rajasthan State Secretary.
In 1958, he shifted to Delhi and became the Secretary of Delhi Jana Sangh. During the period, he was also Secretary of the Jana Sangh Parliamentary Group.
In 1966, he was elected the Chairman of the Delhi Metropolitan Council and in 1970, he became a member of the Rajya Sabha. He was elected the President of Jana Sangh in 1973. In 1977, he was appointed as the Minister of Information and Broadcasting in the Janata Government. The BJP was launched in 1980. For six years, Advani held the post of Party General Secretary. He was jailed in 1990 for his infamous Ram Rathyatra. He is also the Union Home Minister in the Vajpayee ministry.
In 2008, Advani released an autobiography, My Country, My Life. The book was published by Rupa & Co and released by former Indian president Abdul Kalam on March 19, 2008.
PREDICTION:
Shri L.K Advani has a powerful chart but also has a Rajabhaya yoga due to which the position of the Prime Minister might not be possible for him.
There are blocks in obtaining power and therefore chances of the BJP’s tally falling to less than the 2004 elections are high.
Personally Advaniji should be able to return to the lok Sabha but the cohesive force of the BJP could go down further.
Challenges to his leadership within the party would rise too. His position could be challenged after September 2009.
Advaniji should take care of injuries, especially his foot after October 2011.
The period between August and December 2009 would be challenging.
Thereafter there will be a revival in the position of the BJP AND Mr. Advani as such.
January 2010 onwards some turn around in the position of BJP would come while 2010 onwards a rise in position as well as possibility of coming into power along with some alliances also possible. This trend will be stronger after 2011 commences.
Political career should start slowing down and meandering after October 2011.
